Understanding whether your products conform to specific regulations doesn't have to be difficult. Because 3E Exchange automatically updates the regulatory chemicals lists and allows you screen your products against them, it makes it easy to know that you are in compliance. Manage your compliance data in 3E Exchange:

  • Search for an individual substance and view its hazard profile.

  • Assess your products against regulations and voluntary lists.

  • Screen your entire product library against chemicals of concern and find the worst players in your products.

  • Report to share and communicate what you find.

Import your Data

To begin screening your products and materials, 3E Exchange uses simple, flexible uploads to quickly import either:

  • a single product

  • a collection of products - called a product library

  • a single materials

  • a collection of materials - called a material library

The import process is as easy as uploading your spreadsheet and then matching the column headers to the appropriate columns in 3E Exchange.

Analyze your results on various levels

Search for a Chemical

3E Exchange is build on in-depth chemical data, so search for any chemicals you have questions about. Once you search for a chemical, you can dive into the detailed hazard profile or learn more about the regulatory or restricted substance lists its included on.

Assess your Products

There are many ways to look at your newly screened products and materials in 3E Exchange. The first way will be in the product's bill of material (BOM). We flag any chemical of potential concern.

Click on the flags to see the regulatory list(s) the chemical is on.

You can also add your own flag that will trigger for lists that you select by using the custom flag column. Simply edit the lists in the custom flag column to be your lists of concern and click on each flag to learn more.

You can also evaluate chemicals by creating your own custom list flag column and screen many products against whichever lists are of highest concern for you. You can also send those list flags to suppliers as well when you send them a survey

Screen your Entire Portfolio

Additionally, you can use the 3E Exchange portfolio view to analyze your chemical compliance across all your products. For example, you can create views of compliant or non-compliant materials, either based on their chemical content or supplier responses in surveys. These materials can then be subject to an additional supplier survey campaign within 3E Exchange or other investigation.

Then you can determine what products those materials are used in and create the proper warnings or notifications.

Dashboard views are also exportable, so you can export this data in to excel or other systems for further analysis.

Report Out

Finally, you will want to share what you've found internally, or with customers when they have requested the data.  Use our exportable Regulatory Screening Report to share what you've learned. 3E Exchange offers a Regulatory Screening Report template built on your product information which you can customize, edit, and export.
