Within 3E Exchange, we have over 50 substance lists that you can screen against ranging from regulatory collections to GreenScreen® specifications. However, if you're looking to reference another list that is not already in 3E Exchange, you can easily add your own! Keep reading for instructions on how to do this.

First, navigate to the "Lists & Substances" tab on the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen. Then select "My Lists".

Select "New List" OR "Import List" at the top of the page.

  • New List: On this page you can add the list name, owner, source URL, and description. In the New List option you will need to manually add substances into this list.

When adding entries, you can search CASRN's already in 3E Exchange. You can also add in any custom substances that you might have in your library.

Check out the article below to learn more about custom substances in 3E Exchange.

  • Import List: Here you can import a list from a CSV or Excel file. This is the most popular option and can make adding a list seemingly effortless!

After adding the list name and selecting the file to import, select the "Import" button. You will then be taken to a page similar to the image below. Here you can edit the name, owner, source URL, and description. If at any time you need to add a substance to this list, you can select "Add Entry" at the top of the page.

It's as easy as that! Congratulations, you have successfully added a custom list in 3E Exchange!
