This release we added features to make it easier to manage your data, survey your suppliers, and view your data.

Assign Summary Data in Bulk (i.e. update logo for many products, add HPD summary data)

You can now bulk edit all pages of your summary data. So let's say you want to update your logo that's used in your reports. Or you want to update notes or contact information for many HPD reports. Or you want to set the compliance status for all materials from a specific supplier. You can use bulk edit summary data to do all of those things.

Make BOM Fields Required Based on Questionnaire Response
(Answer-dependent BOM Content Data)

You can now ask for BOM content data based on a supplier's response to your questionnaire. Perhaps in your questionnaire, you asked your supplier if their formulation had changed at all from the previous year. If their answer is, "Yes," you can change the settings while creating a survey to, "Only ask for BOM Content data if my supplier gives a specific answer on my questionnaire." As another example, if you are asking for EU REACH Compliance and only require them to fill out the content data if they have a EU REACH SVHC, you can use this feature to set that up as well.

Request SDS from Supplier, then ask for additional data.

If you want to reach out to your supplier and ask for an SDS sheet first, you can now send a survey that will prompt them for their SDS first. This is allow them to use the Toxnot automated SDS reader. It scans their SDS for chemical content and other information, adds it to a useful format that they can review, and then uses it to populate the survey. If any data is missing, it then prompts them to complete the additional missing data.

Import Multi-level BOMs without the Level Field Included

Many ERP and PLM systems use multiple columns to indicate the "level" in the products or materials. This can be used to directly import data from your internal systems in a consistent way to make it easier to do updates over time and add new data.

BOM Exports Contain Additional Data

BOM exports can be really helpful if you need to do any data manipulation beyond what is available in Toxnot. There are now two new settings to make those exports more useful if needed. First, you can now see the total weight that Toxnot has calculated for your entire product. Next, you can make sure any ranges export in two separate columns to be able to easily use the maximum or minimum in any of your calculation. Set those BOM setting by going to the new "Export Options..." menu.

Add Positive Custom Lists

Most of the lists screened against in Toxnot are negative lists, i.e. lists of chemical that you want to make sure your product is free of. However, some lists that you may use are indications that a reviewing body has approved these chemicals for use in a specific context or just as a whole. You can now add those lists to Toxnot as positive lists.

Once you import or add your list, simply use the list selection dialog below to select which type of list it is.

Create Product-level Custom Columns

Have you ever wanted to store data that changes product by product about a linked material? For example, if a material is on the outside of one of your products, and internal in another product, you might want to store that information. Now you can do that using the custom column settings. Create a custom column, and then indicate whether it is a product-level or material-level column.

Calculate Scrap Rate % in your BOM

You can now use Toxnot to calculate the "Scrap Rate" in your BOM, just like what was previously possible with "Recycled Content". This data can be rolled up through linked materials in a product.
