With the ‘Tasks’ function in 3E Exchange, you can create to-dos, assign the task to a team member in your account, set due dates, and link specific data to the tasks. There are two ways for you to do this in 3E Exchange: from the MY PRODUCTS or MY MATERIALS pages, or from the TASKS page.

From the TASKS page

To add a new task on this page, click ‘+ Task’ at the top of the page.

A blank entry will be added at the top of the page. Here, you can go through each of the columns ‘Title’, ‘Assign To’, ‘State’, and ‘Due Date’ to add these details. Or you can click on ‘Views Details’ to add all this information in a window called ‘Edit Task Details’.

In the ‘Edit Task Details’ window, you can link products and materials, survey, or attach a file to the task. You can only link either products/materials or surveys to a tasks, but a file can be attached in either scenario.

To link products or materials to a task, click on the ‘Link Products/Materials’ button in the ‘Edit Task Details’ window. You will be taken to a new page to select the products or materials you want to link to the tasks. You can navigate between products and materials at this page. Click ‘Submit’ when you have selected all desired data records. Repeat this process if you want to link additional products or materials afterward.

To link a survey to a task, click on the ‘Link Survey’ button in the ‘Edit Task Details’ window. You will then see a popup to select the survey you want to link from a list.

From MY PRODUCTS or MY MATERIALS Pages

On either MY PRODUCTS or MY MATERIALS page, select the products or materials that you want to send a survey for by checking the boxes next to their names. Go to ‘Actions’, then click ‘Create Task’.

There will be a popup for you to fill in the details of the tasks, such as a title or a due dates. Under ‘Task Status’ is a drop-down where you can select a status from ‘New’, ‘Active’, or ‘Closed’ for the task. Under ‘Assign To’ is a drop-down where you can select a team member to assign the task to.

Click ‘Done’ and you can view the created task with link in the next popup, or on the ‘TASKS’ page.

Once you are in the task, you can see the information that you filled in, as well as the linked materials that you selected previously. Here, you can make further updates, link additional materials, or attach a file to the task.
