Introduction

We are excited to announce the latest release of 3E Exchange! In this update, we focused on enhancing the supplier survey experience and our standard compliance topics.

New Features

1. Standard Compliance Topics have new titles and data fields

To better align with industry standards and improve clarity, we updated the names of our standard compliance topics. This change aims to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience for our Users. You will notice these updated names across the platform, ensuring a seamless transition in your compliance management workflow.

The data points that determine the compliance logic for each of these topics have also been updated. These new data points will not affect the compliance status of your existing data; however, the next time a supplier answers a survey, there will be more questions than in the past.

2. Revamped Supplier Response Workflow UI

In response to user feedback and a commitment to creating value for suppliers, we have overhauled the Supplier Response Workflow UI. The new design offers a more intuitive, visual, and supported experience; allowing you to focus on what matters most โ€“ receiving and submitting accurate supply chain data.

Answer Suggestions and Enhanced Validation Logic

Our revamped UI includes advanced validation logic and intelligent answer suggestions, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of supplier responses. Exchange will use CAS # provided in the BOM to suggest answers to compliance questions.

Overall Form Structure

Experience a more intuitive and streamlined Supplier Response Workflow UI. The overall structure is redesigned to provide a comprehensive overview of the entire survey process from start to end. Navigate through each step effortlessly, thanks to visual cues such as a progress bar and infographics to guide you.

BOM

The BOM section of the survey is now called Ingredient Disclosure. Easily manage and view ingredient information with improved contrast, readability, and table maneuverability.

Valid CAS# and EC# Entry

Enter valid CAS# and EC# for custom substances with confidence. Our updated BOM UI has improved logic to ensure data entered is in the correct format.

REACH# Entry

Enter your REACH# into the BOM, streamlining the data input process and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The number must fit the valid format.

User-Friendly Material Group Creation

Enjoy a user-friendly way to create material groups within the surveys. Simplify your workflow and organize materials efficiently with this intuitive feature. Find the materials you're looking for with the new search bar.

Request Extension Functionality

In situations where suppliers don't have the necessary data to answer a required question but still want to submit the survey, they can now request an extension. Providing flexibility and accountability, suppliers can enter the date they expect to have the data, at which time they will receive a new survey on the Material or Materials they identified.

3. Enhancements for survey requestors

Survey Reminder Management Enhancements

We understand the importance of timely survey completion for effective compliance and sustainability management. These improvements aim to streamline your communication process and drive higher survey completion rates. You can now bulk add reminders to outstanding surveys.

Include an Authorization Letter

Now, when requesting surveys from your suppliers, you have the ability to include an Authorization Letter. This feature enables you to provide context and instructions, ensuring a clear understanding of the survey's purpose. enhance communication with your suppliers and increase survey response rates.

Ingredient Disclosure for Regulated Materials

In the compliance tab of the survey request window, you'll see a new option to "Require Supplier to Enter Regulated Ingredients into BOM." By selecting this box, suppliers will be required to enter a CAS# based on responses to compliance determinations. The advanced logic is meant to create smarter surveys, allowing you to gather the precise information necessary for your compliance and reporting requirements.

Additional Material Identifiers

Help your supplier identify the material you're asking about by providing additional material identifiers. The complete list includes Name, Description, Plant, Supplier Name, Product Number, Supplier ID, and Supplier Part #. Suppliers won't be able to edit these data points.
