Introduction

In response to valuable customer feedback on the recent rollout of the “EU REACH Authorisation and Restriction” regulatory topic, we are pleased to announce updates that enhance flexibility in how compliance statuses are collected and documented.

Background

Previously, the “EU REACH Authorisation and Restriction” topic was structured around two key questions, identified as ‘1’ and ‘2’ in the image below. In certain scenarios, this setup did not fully meet user needs, prompting a need for revision.

Updates and Improvements

To address this, we have now separated these questions into distinct regulatory topics. This allows each to be tracked and managed independently:

  • EU REACH Authorisation: Utilizes the original question ‘1’

  • EU REACH Restriction: Utilizes the original question ‘2’

Both topics will also include the following standard supplemental data fields:

  • Response Reference Date

  • Supplier Comments

  • Applicability

  • Notes

  • Supporting Files (ability to store attachments)

Impact on Users

With these topics now independently tracked and assessed, users might notice some changes. Perhaps most importantly, changes in the regulatory statuses of these topics may occur. Next, previously collected and stored data, or surveys sent using the former regulatory topic structure, will correctly map to the new topics automatically. Furthermore, compliance reports generated will now appear differently; previously combined, these will now be separate reports, one for each topic. Those who have not interacted with these topics previously will experience no impact from this update.

Conclusion

We deeply value your feedback and engagement, which play a crucial role in refining 3E Exchange. This collaboration is essential as we aim to streamline data collection and bolster product regulatory compliance, ultimately fostering the creation of safer and more sustainable products.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. We look forward to advancing together, continually enhancing our services to better fulfill your needs.
