News article and substance Impact
Each time a News article is visited which cites CAS numbers, the application will display a News Impact panel on the left side, with indicators of where the CAS numbers cited in the article are found within the user product portfolio in Exchange. In particular:
•Substances: substances among the ones cited in the article were found in the organization materials
•Materials: materials with one or more CAS numbers mentioned in the article
For each of those data points, the application shows the total number of impacted items as well as the list of matching entries. A "see all" button allows to show all the matching entries (maximum 100 entries)
A second panel at the bottom of the article is displayed when a news article is citing CAS numbers.
The panel contains a table with all CAS numbers cited in the article. A dedicated column shows if such CAS number was found in any Material of the organization and displays the list
For long lists, users can expand the columns of the table or can copy the values and paste them in a text/doc file for further analysis.
A switch "Only my substances" allow users to filter the table and show only CAS numbers that have an impact in their organization.
A search box allows users to search for specific substances in the table by name or CAS number.
News article Impact in Advanced Search
A new integration of user-generated data in Exchange combined with news articles, enables companies to evaluate the impact of news on their organization directly from the news advanced search page.
