How to access the U.S. PFAS tab in 3E Exchange?
Navigate to the tab from our main tabs panel.
Detail of U.S. PFAS Regulations: Last Updated
By default, Regulations are displayed with the most recently updated regulation at the top.
This allows you to quickly see what may have been updated and may need to be reviewed. Note that the Last Updated on this page is defined by when the 3E regulatory content team made any update within the 3E system. It is NOT the date the actual regulation was changed/published by a governing body.
Detail of U.S. PFAS Regulations: Search functionality
Use the search feature to narrow down the list of Regulations displayed on the page. Start typing in the search box to find Regulation Names matching the criteria. The search is responsive, so results are displayed as they are typed.

Regulation Details page
The Regulation Details page is designed to contain resources about a specific regulation. This includes an Overview, associated Documents, Tasks, and Regulatory Lists.
Overview link(s)
Most regulations contain an Overview, which is a summary provided by the 3E regulatory content team. If an Overview is available, it will be displayed at the top of the right column for quick reference.
Documents link(s)
The Documents section contains links to other reference materials for this regulation. These could be the “Full Text” of the actual regulation, or other relevant documentations, typically in a portable document format (pdf).
Additional languages may be displayed as they are available.
Tasks
The Tasks section is only available for TSCA Section 8(a)7 at this time.
Tasks are suggested action items to take to be in compliance.
Regulatory List(s)
Regulations may have one or more associated Lists. By default, you will see the List name and a brief summary. Use the expand arrow to the right to see the list of associated CAS numbers and substance names.
If there is more than one associated List, you will see each regulatory list name and summary. Each list is expandable.
Search by name
You may search regulatory lists to find “hits” of a full or partial substance name by typing letters in the Search box. The results are responsive, meaning matching criteria will filter as you type.
Search by CAS number
To search for specific CAS number “hits” on the regulatory list(s), type the CAS number in the search box. Note that dashes are optional; however, the full number must be entered to receive results. Partial numbers will only search within the Substance Name field.
